Bund repairs & protective linings

Bund repair and secondary containment for industrial and utility sites

We assess, decontaminate, repair and line bunds so they keep stored liquids where they belong. Work is planned around your site's operations and access requirements.

Services

From contaminated bund to finished lining

One team takes a bund from assessment through to a finished lining, so nothing falls between contractors.

All services

Bund repairs & remediation

Decontamination, concrete repair and crack and joint sealing to return damaged or oil-contaminated bunds to service.

Protective linings

Chemical-resistant lining systems for bund floors and walls, selected to suit the stored liquid and site conditions.

Inspection & maintenance

Condition inspections and planned maintenance so bund issues are found and fixed before they become incidents.

Why it matters

A bund is the last barrier between a spill and the environment

When a bund cracks, leaks or fills with contaminated water, it stops doing that job. Often nobody notices until something goes wrong.

  • Environmental incidents

Oil, fuel or chemicals that escape a failed bund can reach stormwater, soil and groundwater. Clean-up is slow and disruptive.

  • Regulatory action

In NSW, a pollution incident can lead to EPA clean-up or prevention notices, fines and, in serious cases, prosecution.

  • Site shutdowns

An incident can take equipment or part of a site out of service while the cause is investigated and the area is cleaned up.

Regular inspection and timely repair keep a bund doing its job.

Our process

Five stages, one accountable team

Every project follows the same sequence. Each stage sets up the next, which is how a lining stays bonded and a bund stays sealed.

  1. Assess

We inspect the bund floor, walls, joints, drains and penetrations, record what we find and recommend a scope of work.

  2. Decontaminate

We remove oil, sludge, water and debris, then clean the floors, walls and plinths.

  3. Prepare

We grind or blast away the contaminated surface layer to create a profile for the lining, then repair cracks, joints and damaged concrete.

  4. Line

We apply a protective lining system selected for the stored liquid and site conditions, with close attention to edges and penetrations.

  5. Inspect

We check the finished work with your team and hand the bund back into service.

Industries

Secondary containment across industry
